Magic Box: One-to-Three
Magic is as easy as 1 - 2 - 3! With this magic box, you can insert a long stick and amaze your audience as you magically split it into three pieces.

The small pieces can be removed and examined, then reinserted and magically made whole again.

Print Profiles
If you have an AMS, there are only 6 color changes, which means it doesn't add much time or cost to use the AMS Ready profile. If you want some color but don't have an AMS, the Non-AMS Multicolor profile moves the lids to a second plate and adds some pauses where you can switch the filament manually to have the multicolor look. Or just stick with the Single Color profile and have the pattern etched into the lid without any other colors. You could also print some parts separately so mix up the color of the slide and the main body by unchecking them in the objects menu.
Assembly Instructions
Start with the green piece on the bottom with the holes pointing away from you and the connecting bar on the left. Place the yellow piece in the middle with the opening on the right. Drop in the red slide with the holes pointing up. At this point, slide the middle section left and right to make sure that when it's fully open and fully closed that all the holes are visible. If any of the holes are blocked, something might be upside down. Once you verify that all the pieces are in the correct orientation, you can put the lids on.
The purple piece is very different than the other two. The bottom of the purple piece is wide on one side and narrow on the other. This is the middle section. Slide the narrow side into the grooves on the yellow piece and push down to clip in the other side. The other pieces have a rounded corners with the flat side pointed toward the middle. They're not the same, one piece fits in the top and one fits in the bottom. Line up the wide part on the bottom circled below with the hole. This is circled in the picture. Once the lid is in the correct place, press it down firmly until you hear a click. It should securely stay in place without the need for glue. The middle slide is a little flexible, so you could add a little glue here, but it's not necessary. Please see the diagram below:

TLDR; Follow the diagram and slide the middle section open and closed to check the orientation of the holes before attaching the lid pieces. Then slide the middle lid in from the side and push hard on the top and bottom lids to snap everything together. If you get stuck, read the longer instructions above.
Jamming
The pieces needed to be able to move around to remove them when “split”. But in certain orientations, the small piece can slip into the space behind the tube holder. If you move it back to the positions shown below, you can jiggle it and the small piece will go back to the tube holder. There should never be a need to disassemble it. And you could even add this to part of the act. If you push the slide to this position, then turn the whole case upside down so the tube slides out the bottom, you could say that the stick is only bent, not split. When you put the long stick back in, shake the case a bit and the small piece falls back in place and looks intentional.

Either way, to avoid jamming, just fully open and close the case with the hole pointing up.
