Nice Dice! – Close-up dice change illusion
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is Nice Dice and is my reworking of a classic of close-up magic, the dice change illusion. The magician shows a single die, and a small box containing 4 other randomly arranged dice. They roll the die, and all the dice in the box flip to show the rolled number.
This is a really strong effect that has been reengineered to make it simple to 3D print and perform.
You do not need an AMS unit to build this trick, you can print plain, non-coloured dice and a non-coloured box, and the trick will work just as well. One of the images above shows the plain dice. The main 3mf file is set up so the dice are plain, only the box parts are coloured, this saves a huge amount of printing time. I will also upload a full colour AMS version – but you should be prepared to wait a long time!
I printed mine as plain dice, and then painted the dots afterwards. This is honestly not as laborious as it sounds, and I think the finish looks really good.
Please take time to read the full instructions, which includes the ‘reveal’ and how to perform the trick. These are in the attached build instructions.
Hope you have fun! Please do leave a thumbs up or a rating for the print profile as it really helps.
