Description
Recycled Filament Dry Box from Original Packaging
To keep your filament dry during 3D printing, I've crafted a simple yet effective dry box using the filament's original cardboard packaging
I designed and 3D printed a threaded nozzle with a matching nut that screws into the box's wall (approximately 4 mm thick)
This nozzle securely holds a PTFE tube, through which the filament exits the box, shielded from moisture
You can also place a desiccant packet (silica gel) inside the box to further enhance filament preservation
The filament then feeds directly from the box to the 3D printer via the PTFE tube, consistently ensuring more reliable printing and preserving material quality
