Description
A rolling pasta cutter for hand-cutting several classic Italian egg pasta shapes such as: maccheroni, tagliatelle, pappardelle.
Cutting wheel spacing can vary from 1.5, 2.7, or 4 cm, depending on the arrangement of the spacers and wheels: 1.5 cm tagliatelle, 2.7 cm pappardelle, 4 cm maccheroni (NB: The term "maccheroni" refers to a type of Tuscan pasta sometimes called "maltagliati", and are more or less regular pasta squares).
With the wheels spaced 4 cm apart and cross-cutting twice, 4 cm squares are obtained, making maccheroni, but also suitable for tortellini/cappelletti.
With the 4 cm spacers, 3 strips of pasta 4 cm wide are obtained
With the 2 cm spacers, 7 strips of pasta 1.5 cm wide or 4 strips of pasta 2.7 cm wide can be obtained.
I have prepared 2 types of handles: a thicker, more flexible one and a smaller, more manageable but rigid one
