Radiator Bleed Key (5mm Valve) – Strong & Simple
Need a bleed key and yours is missing just when you need them? Same. So I designed this little radiator bleed key that you can just print yourself.
It's made to fit a standard 5mm rectangular radiator valve, and I printed mine in ABS for extra strength (First design in PLA). I beefed up the base so it is holdable and twistable with your fingers and kept the stem short and chunky so it's way less likely to snap under pressure.
Perfect if you're doing radiator maintenance and need a bleed key quick.
Recommended material
ABS for the strength, but PLA works too.
With PLA the stem is prone to show some stress after turning a bleed valve if it is a bit stuck or when tightening it strongly.
