True-to-life Structure! Unboxing a Japanese Wakizashi Tanto Knife
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is a fully internal-structure Japanese short sword, including the blade, habaki (collar), tsuba (handguard), fuchi (hilt collar), kashira (butt cap), tsuka (handle), saya (scabbard), and kurikata (scabbard tip). The blade features a hamon (tempered edge) texture, and the handle has a non-slip texture simulating ray skin. The model is pre-colored; the blade and decorative parts are recommended to be printed with silver and gold silk filaments, while the scabbard and handle are recommended to be printed with PLA or PETG. The model is pre-colored and pre-arranged on plates, eliminating the need for an AMS. Single-color printing and subsequent painting are also viable options. Instructions for wrapping the tsuka-ito (handle wrap) and sageo (scabbard cord) are available upon request. I used leather, but cotton tsuka-ito and silk sageo are also highly recommended.

The following are the assembly steps.
First, glue the blade and attach the habaki.

Then, install one tsuba, one fuchi, and another tsuba.

Attach the tsuka (handle).

Glue the handle and attach the kashira.

Insert the mekugi (peg); chopsticks can be used as a substitute.

Glue the saya (scabbard), and attach the kurikata.

Complete!

Finally, wrap the tsuka-ito and sageo, or customize the colors to your liking.
