Description

Logitech G305/G304 2xLR44 battery holder/bracket

This is a remix from a model originally published by FrizzleFry on Thingiverse of a holder for a single LR44 battery for the Logitech G305/G304. I decided to remix this because a single LR44 battery does not have enough voltage to feed the mouse for more than a few days, so the mouse would run out of batteries prematurely, which lead to a lot of frustration of having to replace between two used batteries every few rounds in a game.

I modified the piece using Bambu Studio as I'm not that versed in CAD software just yet. This version holds two LR44 batteries in series, which fixes the voltage problem and makes the mouse a lot more usable, albeit with a 3g increase in weight.

Instructions on how to assemble remain the same compared to the original model, but here's a video by BeardedBob that explains it a little better than I could in writing. Essentially, you route the JST 2.0 cables through the holes (positive side on the bottom, negative side on top) and then you replace the original battery holder with this one.

The print profile should have everything needed to print this the same way I did, which is slightly different compared to the original:

  • Printed vertically for easier support removal and a cleaner look
    • This has two drawbacks – Longer print time and the print orientation is not the best for increased strength
  • Has a XY hole compensation of 0.2mm to make sure the holes are wide enough to route the cables through
  • Back seam for a cleaner look

Happy gaming!
