Description
🧊 Spherical D6 – V2 (No Assembly, Auto Pause Insert)
Description:
This is version 2 of my spherical six-sided die – a smoother, smarter upgrade of the original!
Now it's a single-piece print with no need for gluing or snapping together.
Instead, the print automatically pauses halfway so you can insert an 8mm steel ball, then simply resume printing. That’s it – you're done! 🎉
💡 The magic happens inside: a hidden octahedron (D8) guides the steel ball to one of six active vertices, each aligned with a numbered window on the surface.
When the ball settles, the number it aligns with is your result — giving you a fair, functional, and visually unique D6 experience.
🙌 Huge thanks to @NBT0707 for suggesting the auto-pause idea in the comments on V1 – it works great and makes the whole process even easier!
🎨 The numbers are clean and visible as-is, but you can also color them in with a permanent marker to make them pop even more.
🧽 After printing, if the bottom side has marks from supports, you can optionally smooth it with fine sandpaper for a cleaner finish.
