Description

Milwaukee XC5.0 Battery Case Replacement - Top Body. Printed with PETG-CF. This is a poor design from Milwaukee and I've had the little clips snap off a few batteries but doesn't fall under warranty.

Prints well, would it be possible for you to upload the STEP so it can be adjusted for the 4ah and 6ah?

I'm working on it as I can. Even with the step file it is taking quite a bit of tinkering. Fusion has crashed on me multiple times. When I get one that works I'll put it up, and link here or however that works.

printed great, great suitable replacement for damaged tabs. My filament definitely needed to be dried before I made this but it still printed fully functional. Great work, would it be possible to put some sort of friction spring behind the release button to achieve higher holding force. seems it can be pulled out semi easily. but really great. update: able to achieve great fitment and retention with the help of an o-ring.

Printed in abs, installed on my battery and immediately cracked on a layer line, I’ll reprint it to try to get better layer adhesion. Fits and works so far, haven’t used it yet though

Can consider tilting this on the build plate + tree supports. Surfaces will be a lot smoother

I initially printed it on an angle, but when I did so, one of the "clips" printed poorly. The orientation loaded seemed to print the most functional.

Just a question are you able to use the original screws?

Yes, but you will have to drill the hole out slightly. I made the posts solid where the screw goes in for additional support.

Sorry for the late message! The screw locations have a solid body in that location, they will need to be drilled out to ensure the threads have enough plastic to hold. Hope this helps!

Can this be added to one of the small 2.0 batteries? Would like to be able to stand my drill/impact upright when using my smaller battery

Unfortunately I can't edit this mesh easily, as it was a 3d scan.
