Description

This is an adapter ring I designed to make Sennheiser HD500-series earpads (like those from the HD598 or HD599) fit onto the HD58X. The stock HD58X pads were getting uncomfortable and worn out, and I had some old HD500 pads lying around - but of course, they don’t fit by default. So this ring acts as a mounting interface between the two.

It’s a simple print that just clicks into place - no glue, no tools, no drama. I’ve only tested it with sennheisers official HD 500 Series Earpads and it holds well, the plastic ring of the earpads slips over the outer ring of the adapter.

Nothing fancy here - this is the first model I’ve ever designed for 3D printing, so it’s basic, but it works. I’m sharing it in case anyone else is trying to do the same kind of pad swap.

I made this adapter to fit HD500-series pads onto the HD58X because I couldn’t find one that specifically fit my needs so I figured I’d try designing it myself. It’s my first 3D model, and I’d really appreciate your feedback or a boost if you find it helpful. Thanks for checking it out and cheers to learning by doing!
