It doesn't appear the developer is answering questions, so here's my best guess on this. The pause in printing (I believe) is to allow the insertion of a nut or something for that base plate to screw into. As it is just a different size than the hole, I think that bit is just going to be glued into place on mine - it's just a flat surface plate for the leather to rest on. Frankly, one half of the "body" could have just not had a hole, but that's not how it was designed. The screw fits fine - spit on it, or get it wet with water and it goes in easily. Same for the puzzle joints. Get them wet, line them both up at the same time, THEN press them together easily. I think the actual stamp just lays in position on top of the leather, and then the screw tightens down on it. I'm not the leather worker in my house...he's away for business. Pic is after 5 min press. 😒 Final thought: Screw can't provide enough widespread pressure. (Crap leather though.)

Apologies for late replies. The threaded holes on both sides is so that you can insert a wider plate on the bottom to place your leather. The size depends on the size of the design to be pressed. I've luck with some leathers and not others so the type will be a factor for sure. Also I've found that 5 minutes is not long enough. Almost want the water to dry a bit while still in the press for it to keep the design. As for pressure that is why the pieces are so tight. You should be tightening the press so much that the top starts to bow.

It would "pop" before it would go to the point of "bowing." I'm not sure if that was the puzzle ends having a bit of space, or if the screw threads started to fail. We used regular Bambu PLA - I think it was matte. Anyway, good to know about leaving the leather in place for an extended period. But also, like I mentioned, the leather I had was not good stamping leather. That doesn't reflect on the design. My brain keeps telling me a stamp with more depth might help as well. Thanks for the response.

I 100% agree a deeper cut on the stamp would help. I included this one just as an example.

Small Update to answer some of the questions. 1. I've updated the print profile to remove the pause. Unsure of why it was there in the first place but this should not cause a huge problem. Just hit resume. 2. each of the Sides have a hold so that you can have a larger flat surface area to put your leather on and the other to insert the press screw. 3. The connections are tight. They need to be.

Can you add some instructions? Print is paused by the gcode and I dont' know how to assemble the object, parts are not fitting. Where should I position the stamp blank or how do I join the long screw with the flat part?

I used water to get the joints to slide together. Now, how to assemble it is a whole other story I haven't figured out yet.

I think it pauses so you can imbed a not, but I'm not positive. When I told my H2S to resume, it started back up and finished the print.

The long screw is M10, the plate is M9 and the base is M11. Are not fitting well together.
