Description
This is a insert for the 5 bin Milwaukee Packout (Item # 48-22-835). I wanted a insert that would hold all the tools I would need to work on my SXS when on the trail. I based my tool needs off the Ultimate off road tool kit from SATV. I half succeeded, as I was able to fit all the sockets, extensions, adapters and impact I would need in the 5 bin.
I am currently working on making inserts for the 10 bin organizer, and a second version of the 5 bin that will hold all the tools. Couple the inserts with my soon to be released packout battery mounts, tire inflator mount, tool mounts, M18 led light, and M18 Jump pack you will have the ultimate off road packout setup. So be sure to follow and check in periodically. I'll be uploading the inflator mount, and battery mount in the next day or so. Couple changes to the LED light and Jump pack and they will be ready also. As always please like, rate and Boost me so I can add more models.
The insert securely holds a Milwaukee M18 3/8 mid torque impact (2960-20). It also holds the 13 piece ICON 3/8 impact socket set (59756), the 12 piece torx bit set (59753), the 6 piece hex bit set (69546), the 3 piece wobble extension kit (67065), the 3/8 universal from the 2 piece universal set (56697), the 3/8 to 1/2 adapter, & the 3/8 to ¼ adaptor from the 7 piece impact adaptor set (67937) all from Harbor Freight. It also holds ½ drive 21, 27, & 30mm Teckton sockets and splined lug nut socket sourced from Amazon.
The Impact and socket shelf is held in by friction and the lid. The sockets are all held in by (14) 60x10x5 magnets, and (1) 40x10x5 magnet. The fit and the way the magnets sit do not require adhesive, however for piece of mind I super glued the magnets in. The upper and lower braces 4 in total should be a tight fit and glued in place. With the magnets and the lid closed you can literally turn it up side down and shake it and nothing moves, not even a rattle. The only thing that rattles is the packout box itself. The extension shelf sets in over the torx and hex sockets and the extensions and lug nut socket are easily accessible by finger holes.
