Description

Cute, mini casino game Sic Bo (骰寶); also know as Tai Sai (大細) and Dai Siu (大小).

 

Notes on printing: Due to the fine detail on the game board, it is suggested the game board be printed with a 0.2mm nozzle with a 0.14mm layer height. Slicing will take a long time with these settings but will complete. Please be patient and wait for the slicer to finish the job. The exterior housing can be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height to printing save time. The game board is designed that it can be used without the exterior housing if desired. 

 

Notes on pofile: Due to the complexity of this model, profiles for the 0.2mm and 0.4mm nozzles would not load into Makerworld (cloud slicing timeout). Therefore, I had to load a 0.6mm nozzle. Although, it prints the quality is not great. With a 0.2mm nozzle the print looks much, much better. Please load the profile into Bamby Studio and change the nozzle to 0.2mm with a 0.14mm layer height for a great quality print (albeit at a much slower speed than the larger nozzle - we trade quality for speed in 3D printing). The exterior game housing can be printed in either a 0.4 or 0.6 nozzle. No reason to print the outer housing with a 0.2mm nozzle.

 

Sic Bo is a casino game, popular in Asia and widely played (as dai siu) in casinos in Macau, Hong Kong. It is played in the Philippines as hi-lo. It was introduced to the United States by Chinese immigrants in the early 20th century. Las Vegas casinos started adding Sic Bo to their gaming floors to lure Chinse gamblers. It is now prevaent in most American casinos. Since Gameplay involves betting that a certain condition (e.g. that all three dice will roll the same) will be satisfied by a roll of the dice.
