A1 Extruder Cable Spring AMS Hub Support
Print Profile(1)

Description
A1 and A1 Mini compatible.
After I made my own X-axis cable spring, I wanted an integrated AMS hub support with the extruder head cable spring.
It's 2 pieces, one "spring box" that fits over the AMS hub, fits into the grooves on top of the head, and fits around the plastic piece on the bottom of the cable, and the second piece, the actual spring, that fits into the spring box and holds the cable.
Both pieces together are very rigid and sturdy and do not move around except for the spring portion that you want to move.
Prints quickly and easily in PETG, PLA would probably also work but be less flexy on the spring.
Installation is simple.
- Pull out PTFE tube(s) from AMS hub
- Slide the cable through the gap in the box
- Slide over the AMS hub, into the grooves, and over the base of the spring
- Slide the spring into the spring box
- Fit the cable into the actual spring portion of the spring piece. (Some force needed)
- Reinstall PTFE tube(s)
NOTES:
- I used Sunlu High Speed PETG and 3D-Fuel PCTG
