Description

This is a cover for the Xiegu X6100 radio. It offers protection the the screen, face buttons, knobs, and even the buttons on the top of the radio. It has a perfect fit on the radio, not feeling tight, or loose. This is perfect when you are traveling with the radio, or just want a to protect it when in storage. The only other hardware you need is a 1 inch velcro strap of at least 12 inches. (If you added accessories like a fan to the back, you might need more.)

It prints in 5 parts, the two knob covers, the VFO cover, and the strap keeper, and the main cover itself. These parts need to be superglued in place after printing. Printing it like this instead of printing it in one part assures that you get the texture of the bed instead of supports on the face of the cover.

I have attached two print profiles. One with normal supports, and one with supports with no interface distance for use with the sharpie trick. (I recommend the later as it gives a smoother finish. Make sure to wipe of the sharpie before gluing.) The print profile has pauses already built in so all you have to do is when the print pauses, take a sharpie and color in the support interface. The sharpie kills all layer bonding and makes the support material very easy to remove. If you want to know more, check out this video and go to 11:52:
