Description

Fantastic DC-15 model by Woyta94 split up for printing and given a working trigger and mag.

Required;
1.6kgs black filament, 200g silver filament
1x 10mmOD rod 1250mm long
1x 10mmOD rod 115mm long
1x 9mmOD spring, ~26mm long. Modelled so I could use an old ender 3 bed spring, I'm sure many of you have a spare one of these somehere.
4x 5mm x 1mm neodymium magnets

It has been split so that you can simply print in the separate colours as I did at first and assemble without painting. For the more realistic look I ended up with I used smooth black hammerite paint for all pieces and rubbed graphite powder onto the silver pieces for a gunmetal look. You're going to want to completely finish sanding and painting the trigger first, then assemble the mechanism and glue in the trigger guard insert, then mask the trigger off and complete painting of the rest of the blaster. You can glue the silver pieces on straight away and mask around them later like I ended up doing, or paint them separately. Be light on the paint on the inside of the magwell and the outside of the mag, the tolerances are pretty tight.
