410 Folding Shotgun Pen V1

The folding mechanism rotates smoothly, and the latch locks it closed. To remove the Ink tube, simply push the knob on top of the gun forward and fold the barrel. This model needs two things besides the printable pieces: A ink tube from a G2-7 pen, and a spring from inside a mechanical pencil. It will be in V2 and under the download stl, obj, etc tab

To assemble the gun simply:

1. Clean up all of the pieces with a knife, making sure there are no pieces of support left on them.

2. Inset the lock into the right piece with the notch facing the rear of the gun,

3. Insert the spring behind the lock, and place a piece of filament 5-6mm long into the hole on the lock.

4. Insert a piece of filament 12mm ling into the hole in the barrel.

5. Connect the barrel to the right piece.

6. Press the left piece onto the right to finish the gun.

If the locking mechanism does not work properly, open the un back up and try two things

First, make sure there is no elephants foot on the lock (a small brim created by the first layer being smooshed onto the build plate), and that it rotates freely.

Second, make the edge on the barrel where the lock inserts is open and there is nothing blocking it, or preventing the lock from latching.
