Description

A nice display stand for Luke's DL-44 from The Empire Strikes Back. Design fits on an A1mini build plate and is broken up along panel lines so the seem is well hidden.

I recommend 2 part epoxy to glue the base together and to glue the label to the label clip. The clip fits on either vertical support and can be placed at various heights. the clip snaps on and does not need to be glued.

I included labels for “Han's DL-44”, “Luke's DL-44” or just the Star Wars logo. I don't have an AMS so I just used Rub n' Buff to make the lettering stand out on the label but would look great in a silver filament.

Beautiful print. Just doesn't fit my replica DL-44 which is not 3D printed and based off a metal Denix. With the side scope, the blaster is heavy on one side and because the hole in the stand that accepts the handle is just a little off, my blaster is off-balanced and falls off. I guess I'll just need to make a 3D printed blaster to go with this stand.

Shoot, sorry to hear it didn't quite fit your Denix version, if I make a more 'universal fit' version I'll let you know!

Replying to @Brothermark :
I just took some clips and cut out the hole a little larger and it worked like a charm and is barely noticeable. Thanks again for the model as it looks great on the self!

Loved the model. so much fun to paint. I made 1 change to it. I added in holes for magnets in the body and cartridge so you can pull it in and out and it stays.

I love this stand! Do you happen to know where the file is for the blaster in your pic?

I don't unfortunately! A friend gifted me the print a few years back before I had my own printer.
