Drain Base for IKEA ORDNING Cutlery Drainer
Print Profile(2)

Description
If you’re tired of water collecting at the bottom of your IKEA ORDNING cutlery drainer and turning into a gross mess, this simple base helps direct the water back into the sink. With a slight slope, it ensures that excess water doesn’t just sit there but flows away properly, keeping things cleaner for longer.
The new version includes a few improvements for better stability and now comes in two variants:
- a shorter one (4 cm) for setups where the sink is close,
- and a longer one (10 cm) for when you need a bit more reach to guide the water away.
I’ve also added small recesses underneath the base where you can place little rubber feet or printed pads. This lifts the base slightly off the surface, allowing any water underneath to dry properly and keeping things from sticking.
I designed it to fit perfectly under the ORDNING and to be easy to clean—just rinse it off if needed. For the best results, I recommend enabling ironing when slicing the print. From my experience, water runs off much better on a smooth, flattened surface.
Material:
PLA works great for this, but if you want something more resistant to moisture, PETG is also a solid choice.
Just print it, place it under your drainer, and forget about stagnant water pooling at the bottom.
