Description
These painters cones are easy to print and very sturdy (see below). They take less than 3g of filament each to print. I have used these cones to paint a variety of items and models with no visible marks left behind. No supports required. I print these in PETG for added strength but PLA will work if you are not planning on painting heavy items (like a flower pot).
I prefer these cones to the traditional painters triangles because I find them easier to print (no struggling with adhesion issues) and they are so small that I can throw them into a container after drying without worrying about space/stacking them. I tested their sturdiness by balancing a medium sized teracotta flower pot on top of 3 cones for 2 days and they held up without any visible wear or tear.
This is scaled down from the original model with a small flat tip added to aid in balancing heavier/larger prints without needing more than 3 cones.
