I wanted to design another toy for my kiddos incorporating my previous spinning toy design. The aligning of the parts helps develop fine motor skills and keeps children engaged and learning to organize the parts in the shape of a Pot and Carrot! Makes the perfect gift for the easter season! The post threads into the base so it is easy to replace when kiddos inevitably drop and break it during rougher play.
I have also added an optional strengthening post print profile, you print the post flat with wall counts to make it completely solid and then insert it with some glue into the post and it will strengthen it tremendously as it will then have layer lines going in both directions.
Printing Notes
- I print carrot 1-3 with fuzzy skin set to a point distance of 0.3mm and contour only. For the carrot top I remove fuzzy skin from leaves
- use a brim on the post to ensure it stays adhered during printing also I use 4 walls and 35% infill on the post
- No AMS is necessary as I have sliced in a Pause for filament change on the profile's labeled âNoAMSâ
