Eotech EXPS 3 Killflash/ Lens Protection

Since I couldn't find a discreet lens protector for my Eotech EXPS 3 clone, I designed one myself in the style of a killflash

I made sure to keep it as discreet as possible, without neglecting protection

It was also important to me to restrict the field of view as little as possible

The inner diameter of the hexagons is 5.5mm (protects against 6mm BBs)

The thickness of the grid is 2.00mm (thus flush with the frame)

For better protection, I recommend printing the model thicker (height in Z-direction)

The webs between the hexagons are designed to be as thin as possible at 0.8mm, without compromising stability

The grid is simply clamped directly in front of the lens, into the frame of the red dot sight

Depending on the accuracy of your printer and the dimensions of your individual EXPS 3, the size can be adjusted in the slicer in the X and Y directions

To prevent it from falling out, it should fit as snugly as possible

To improve protection, you can increase the thickness of the grid in the slicer in the Z-direction (highly recommended), but the grid will then no longer be flush with the frame

I printed it from Bambu PLA Matte (Charcoal)

Other materials such as PETG, ABS, ASA, or even TPU are certainly also suitable
