Description
4½" trim square with scribe markings every 1/16". Compact, lightweight and sturdy. Designed to fit into your tool belt. Heel contains ¼" and 3/8' references built in.
I recommend to print a quick calibration block to ensure that your printer is properly calibrated to all axes.
The easiest way to print is in single color, which includes etched markings. If printing with an overhang, I recommend to use support filament for the interface layer in order to get the best quality overhanging face.
In order to get the highest quality, I recommend printing in two pieces, securing with CA glue or similar, and using the provided dowels to aid with alignment.
The numeric markings come out nicely with a 0.2mm nozzle, and a bit less nicely with a 0.4mm nozzle. I'm working on adjusting the settings to improve this, but have also included a version without numbers in the 0.4mm profile for those who prefer.
Assembly Tips:
- If printing monocolor, use a sharpie to highlight indented markings
- If printing overhang, I recommend using bambu support filament for best quality overhang face.
- If printing split, test fit pieces before applying glue to ensure tolerances are good. Have lots of clamps ready in order to prevent warping and ensure final product is square.
