Yeah, it's actually sitting on some print waste, which makes it about 2 cm above the surface

I'm afraid not, this print is now made in such a way with the limitation is the precision of printing and the preservation of such clearances so that it can be moved. If you increase the dimension by 10x, the clearance increases by 10x

You can try, but the surface friction will be much higher when moving the mechanism. When I tested it on a textured plate, I wasn’t happy with the result. That’s why I included a note about it — to avoid one-star comments saying it doesn’t work just because someone printed it on a textured surface
