Description

Sword whip - sword whip

A sword that can undergo transformations, from an ordinary sword it turns into a whip composed of segments of the blade.

The sword can be unfolded by stretching by grasping the handle and the tip of the blade. It may be a little difficult the first time you try it, but after a few attempts it should be easier.

Update 21.03.2025

I will make a profile with a longer version, the maximum for the table 256x256, extended by 5 segments.

Printing notes

  • Supports are required for the connecting mechanism to work properly. The connectors are then smooth and nothing hooks when connecting and unfolding.
  • Remove all supports after printing.
  • The handle can be excluded from the supports.
  • Suppore -> Type: tree.
  • On build plate only - checked.
  • Tree Support -> Branch angle: 30 - so that the supports do not go inside the elements.
  • Wall loops: 3.

All of the above comments are included in my print profile and I recommend using it.

I tested the print on Bambu Lab Basic as well as Matte filaments and had no problem with them.

Remember that this project requires precision, so you need to have well-calibrated Flow Ratio and Flow Dynamics, I also remind you about a clean and degreased plate.

Printed well, and looks good. The supports came out easily. It clicks together so well and holds, and the somehow easily comes back apart when you want it to.

I love this model so much. I printed two normal ones and my stepson and coworker both claimed them. I then made an edit to make the hilt longer for my grasp so now it feels like a true dagger.
