Description

A small and compact animatronic robot eye mechanism that i've been working on

Boost Me (for free)

Only if you want, I do this for fun

All parts snap together, with the exception of the eyeball ball and the eyelid links to the servos. I have spent a lot of time getting the tolerances right, so I hope they work for you.

No supports needed anywhere, just a brim for the eyeball as the part is quite fragile (might be wise to slow the print down for that part)

1 M3 threaded insert mounts the eye to the base plate

3 MG90s servos used, with wire to the eyeball on the top and on the left, as in photos. You can use other generic servos such as SG90, but generally you get what you pay for.

Code can be found here: https://github.com/ManlyMorgan/Animatronic-Eye

  • Controller used: Arduino Pro Micro, but any arduino/esp32 will work

Standard Components Used:

Programming Instructions:

  1.  Assemble Project, then useCalibration.ino” to determine the center, min and max positions for the servos"
  2. Open “double_eye_motion.ino”, enter your center, min and max positions and the correct pin numbers. Then run!

Any questions, just ask and I will try to reply as quick as I can
