What's Special about the Rugged Screw Unit?
- Added drawer stops!!! Don't accidentally spill your screws.
- Gridfinity for easy stack-ability
- Rugged Tray Topper (for top and in front of ScrewUnit) with magnet option to hold spare screws/parts while in use.
- Toppers take 2 magnets stacked for more magnetic strength.
- Scoop and no scoop drawers
- Large Screw holes for wall mounting.
- Compatible with all Rugged Organizer drawers (lines up perfectly offering the ability to overlap toppers or other items.
- 6x2 magnets with glue. Glue in hole(s)
PRINT SETTINGS:
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Supports and Brim Ears added for cleaner gridfinity and drawer fronts.
- DRAWERS: Supports Recommended (Normal Supports on front lip ONLY)
- I setup the Frame to print vertically (backside down) without supports. There was a little stringing under some of the gridfinity, but that did not warrant me using supports. 10 seconds of post processing (just clip the saging strings) saves a lot of print time. If you want or need to use supports, I'd recommend paint on manual supports only under each grid finity block on the bottom.
- Build Plate: Large prints like this are prone to warping. I recommend using GLUE / Nano Polymer on your build plate, and lower the AUX fan speed to 20-50% prevent warping!
Q&A - What does Gridfinity 2x5, 3x4, 2x5, etc. mean?
- Gridfinity is a modular, open-source organization system that uses a grid to attach/organize multiple boxes or holders to items.
- Gridfinity Baseplates are optional, not required for these models. Profile for Gridfinity Baseplates added, you can overlap your drawer across multiple baseplates to secure multiple drawer frames together horizontally.
- 2x5 is the grid size on the top/bottom of drawer frame and other gridfinity models dimensions.
- Optional Magnet baseplates offer the option of a very secure platform (Only a few magnets should be more than enough)
- The drawer frame sizes are based on the Gridfinity Grid, but you can mix sizes.
