An adjustable tension sandpaper clamp designed for 10mm wide sandpaper, requiring a length exceeding 110mm

While a square version was previously released, this triangular mini variant was actually the original design. It was created to accommodate a specific length of 3M wet-and-dry sandpaper I had on hand. Following requests for a wider, square option, I developed the square clamp. My preference for M3 screws and nuts resulted in initial versions incorporating embedded hardware. However, for greater accessibility and immediate usability without the need for additional hardware, the model has been redesigned for completely 3D-printed construction. The reason for releasing the square version first is that its larger size allowed for more robust bolts. This mini version’s bolt dimensions have been rigorously tested, and the sandpaper pressure plate has been slightly shortened (refer to the main image for the dimensions of the red and black versions). I achieved excellent results using tinmorry PETG, and am pleased to share this design for others to utilize.

3M wet-and-dry sandpaper has a relatively rigid backing, making it challenging to securely tension with standard clamps. Sharp corners also present a risk of tearing. This clamp features rounded corners and a tensioning block that can be precisely adjusted using a rotating tensioning nut, ensuring the sandpaper remains taut and prevents slippage.

I use five grades of 3M wet-and-dry sandpaper: #60, #40, #30, #15, #9, necessitating a five-compartment storage rack.

If you require additional compartments, please leave a comment, and I will upload an expanded version when time allows.

My personal application involves mounting this rack on pegboard. Should this be of interest to others, please leave a comment and I will upload a pegboard-compatible rack to the corresponding pegboard accessories link
