Description

If you have a Pokemon Go Plus + accesory, you know how easy it is to press that darn button and either initiating or stopping sleep research by accident. Well, this should help alleviate that.

I had been using a round metal tin (the ones that usually come with candy inside) to protect mine during sleep sessions and my daily walks, but I recently misplaced it, so I found myself in the need to get a replacement.

This case provides a perfect fit so the Plus + doesn't rattle inside*, and also has a handy window so you can still charge the device.

The lid is thick enough to the point where “butt dialing” the button should be a lot harder, but you still have full access to the button itself. With it, you can just throw it under your pillow and you won't stop your sleep research by accident!

The lid snaps on through pressure alone, but the pieces don't close completely flush (I left a little gap between them) so you can still easily open the case.

Update 08/25/25

I've added a new version!

My brother begged me to make one with a spot to put an AirTag because he keeps misplacing his Pokéball, so I figured it was also a good chance to refine the design a bit.

This new version comes with cut corners to reduce bulk, a prettier Pokéball logo on top, and also a sturdier and improved closure design. It's still a snap-on closure, but this one should be way stronger and reduce rattling. It is a quicker print, and also uses less material.

The print profile comes with two bedplates, you only need to print whichever version you prefer: with or without AirTag Pocket. I still recommend using a scrap of microfiber cloth as cushion under your decive, specially if you'll use the AirTag version.

Update 04/01/25

I've added a new print profile for a plug to cover the light-up button.

This is for the very specific need to block out the lights, it fits very snuggly and it's not made to be removed on a regular basis; please only print it if you don't normally make use of the button.

Update 03/26/25

* I've noticed slight rattling on the V2 model, probably due to the removal of the nub giving the device more room. If vibration becomes too loud inside the case, then adding a small scrap of microfiber cloth (or other thin soft material, such as a fabric band-aid) as padding for the underside will alleviate the issue (and protect your device).

Update 03/25/25

NEW!

V2 is now out, and it's compatible with the wrist strap. This comes with the added benefit that you can also check battery level through the wrist strap window.

V1 will also remain up: V1 has a little nub inside to help the device align itself instead of the window for the wrist strap.

Hey thank you very much for the great design An additional slot for the speaker would be an excellent idea I printed the case in Pokeball colors

Thank you for the pics and the review! That’s a great color for it. For extra success, I also recommend placing it button-down on the bed.

Thank you very much for trying out the new one! Yes I need to think about durability, the current snapping system wears down over time.

The plug does defuse the light quite a bit if printed in white! Also easier to get to the button for sleep mode to pop the whole top off! :D

I've been using this for two weeks and it's prevented me accidentally cancelling my sleep session during the night. It slightly bothers me that the two sides don't close flush together but maybe that's because I use it "upside down" in order to keep the wrist strap/pillow clip attached and there is a tiny nub that is meant to hold the Pokeball Plus+ in place when in the proper position. It'd be great if it had holes at both ends so I could charge it AND keep the wrist-loop/pillow clip attached.

Thanks for the rating. I would not recommend using it that way, since the nub might scratch the underside of your pokeball. if you wish to continue using it like that, I’d recommend perhaps melting the nub off (but it still won’t close flush because the wrist trap adds bulk). I never use the wrist strap so I hadn’t considered that use case. I may try making a version with a second hole in that location instead of the nub.

Hi, I've added a new version that is compatible with the wrist strap- as a happy coincidence it also makes possible to check battery levels without removing the case. Oh! and thank you for the boost!

Hi, Can you add a version without the main hole to click the button? I typically don't use that button and just rely on the auto catch feature and the led light on that thing is really annoying.

huh, I take it you also don’t use it for sleep research then? I suppose making a plug to cover the window in one of the existing models would be a bit easier.

Hello, I've added a new print profile to make a plug that fits perfectly and snuggly into the window, over the button. It's a very quick and cheap print, I hope it'll be useful for this use case.
