Description

I tried a couple of other designs, and ran into a couple of problems only compatible with some printers and only worked flawless in 2 slots when using my x1c combo ams.

So i decided to try and make my own solution, and doing so i created these RFID tags for Bambu original spools, works on all printers ams.

Step 1. Start the print, simply cut a RFID chip to a circular shape from an empty roll and put it inside the RFID TAG during the scheduled break midprint "i've used double sided tape underneath to hold it in place".

Step 2. After you placed rfid in the “tag slot” then resume printing.

Step 3. Place the RFID-Tags on the spool “see picture”

I use 2 tags for every spool, the posistion of the tag must be near the cotton so the edge gets between each of the side pieces. It can be a bit tricky the first couple of times but once the spool is locked the friction holds the tags quite nice. To make it easier add a piece of double sided tape underneath.

Step 4. re-roll your filament of choice according to your preference, i use this awesome Spool winder: https://makerworld.com/en/models/561571-cell-spool-winder#profileId-481024

Step 5. optional Print the included storagebox for my rfid-tags, room for 32 tags pr. box.

The text and color is editable in Bambu studio.
