To adjust the height of the spacer, subtract about 3 mm from the object thickness. This should allow it to clamp silk-screen frames approximately 2-3 centimeters thick. Of course, clamping only top and bottom is possible, while side-to-side movement will occur. This is a preliminary attempt at a small utility for temporarily securing silk-screen backing plates and templates. Naturally, everyone can adapt it into something else or refine and improve it, and then sharing it for others to use would be even better.
