Print Profile(1)

Description
A simple little 3 legged pot that prints in two parts. There are no drainage holes so this pot is best suited for plants that don't need that sort of thing, for example; succulents, cacti, etc. (or it can be used as a small vase, water holder for cleaning paint brushes, etc.
INSTRUCTIONS; HOW TO PRINT
As in the name this model prints in two parts, this ‘2 part’ print process allows the model to print much faster, perfectly, with zero support needed and ensures that the finished model is watertight.
Print Plate 1: The Tank. (PRINT FIRST)
This part is a basic watertight container that has a dual purpose. Mainly it will contain your plant etc. and stop water leaking everywhere, but during printing it has a second purpose as it acts as a drop in support for the second part of the print, the base.
- NOTE: After printing (before proceeding to the next step), ensure your print is watertight.
Print Plate 2: The Base.
This is the decorative part of the model.
- At layer 334 the print profile will PAUSE the print.
During the pause, CAREFULLY place the already printed TANK model into the shell of half printed Base, and confirm both models are at the same height. (SEE PICTURES FOR FURTHER INFO)
IMPORTANT NOTES;
- DO NOT REMOVE THE HALF PRINTED BASE FROM THE PLATE, OR CAUSE IT TO BECOME DETACHED.
- PLACE THE TANK MODEL IN UPSIDE DOWN, so that the base part is at the top and the open part at the bottom. The flat base of the tank will now act as support for the rest of the Base model print.
- Press resume to continue the Base model print.
- When finished, both parts will be fused into one.
NOTE: The Bambu SUPERTACK print plate is highly recommended for printing plate 2, it is a very thin shell that can slip off other plates easily, and prints best with zero brim etc. (in fact, i have not tested the ‘2 part print’ process with a brim, it may throw the level off if an inside brim is used).
Other Notes;
Avoid using ‘incompatiable’ filament types between the tank & base models. The filament you use for the base needs to be able to print onto the surface of the tank model for this ‘two part’ print method to work - example. PLA, doesn't print well on PETG, or PETG on PLA, etc. Ideally just use the same filament type for both.
- No AMS is required to print this model as a multicolour model as shown in the examples - simply print model 1 in one colour, and model 2 in another.
