RB-TX Pro Slingshot:

 

The new improved model.

 

After listening to some colleagues who prefer slingshots with a tightening clamp system instead of the traditional system with elastic bands, I decided to improve the last model that allows both types of tightening for the bands. That's why this new model is born…

 

"RB-TX Pro Slingshot", the ultimate hunting model!!!😁

 

In this model, in addition to the introduction of the dual option for fixing bands, a sight was also included in one of the clamps to assist the aiming point.

As in previous models, to complete the aiming points and simulate the fiber optic filament, the holes were designed with a dimension of 1.85mm. So you can use small pieces of translucent TPU or translucent PETG that will get a similar result.

Unlike previous models, the clamps on this slingshot are tightened with two M4x25mm bolts and M4 nuts, instead of M5, in order not to compromise the structure of the slingshot fork by opening a hole.

This model can also be decorated with the rubber pads of the "RB-T V2" model that has already been shown before.

WARNINGS:

*For PLA supports, AMS or another type of filament change will be required. If you don't have AMS, choose the "no AMS" profile to use normal supports.

**The TPU pads have to be glued with some kind of contact glue or cyanocrylate.


This slingshot was printed with four perimeters and 50% infill.

The clamps, printed with 100% infill, but also demonstrate sufficient robustness at 50% infill.

Extrusion nozzle: 0.4mm

Layer height: 0.2mm

Filament: Bambu Lab PETG HF

Supports: Bambu Lab PLA MATT

To complete the fiber sight, I cut 4/5mm pieces of Translucent TPU and press them on the holes.

The nuts and bolts I will buy are those in the links below, although any wide-head M4 screw will work fine.

This design has been carefully developed, tested, and refined to ensure good structural integrity and performance when printed under proper conditions and using appropriate materials.

Due to the functional nature of this object and the stresses involved during use, print quality, material selection, and correct assembly are critical factors. Improper printing settings, weak materials, or poor layer adhesion may result in structural failure and potential injury.

For best results and safety, the use of high-quality, reinforced filaments for the frame (such as PETG-CF or equivalent) is strongly recommended. Lower-grade materials may significantly reduce strength and durability.
