Description

IMPROVED V2 With better sound but requires one assembly step V2 MODEL HERE(https://makerworld.com/models/1194154)

This design is inspired with an attempted to make a simplified, printable piano hammer mechanism. Instead of hitting music wire, these keys have a contact point that contact three tube/ drums of varying diameter and height (I was hoping the geometry differences would create more sound differences but it still sounds pretty plastic clicky (at least it makes a good/ satisfying fidget clicker) The three keys can be printed separately and they snap into their pivot points. I'm hoping I will have more time to improve the design and open to comments and feedback.

These tube/drum is inspired by Djembe drum design. Instead of the drum membrane, I put in a thin pla layer (0.4mm thick , so please be careful when removing supports). From this design, I learnt the pla membrane on the drum might still be too rigid (I have some ideas to improve the design either with some geometry improvements on the striker or have the tubes open on both ends so you can install your own membrane of other material)
