E-ink Stock Ticker

A simple desk top stock ticker with an e-ink display. 

Pre-requisites
You'll need to know how to flash the Raspberry Pi OS, log in via SSH, and run basic git commands to download the software.
 

Hardware
This is a simple build with no soldering required, but all the components will add up to £40+.

• Raspberry Pi Zero 2 (with GPIO headers & SD card) ~£15-20
• Pimoroni Inky pHAT (black/white or black/white/red) ~£18
• Micro-USB right-angle panel mount extension (25cm max) ~£4
• 6x short M2.5 screws
• (Optional) Pimoroni LED SHIM ~£10

All 3 parts print without supports. You'll need a translucent filament if you're adding the LEDs. I used matte black PLA for the base/bezel and translucent PETG for the back.

V2 Update

There's now a 2 part version of this model. It has smoother corners, feels a bit more solid, and requires fewer screws. However, it does require supports around the bezel so it's much harder to get a clean print.

I ended up redesigning the case from scratch here. I used all the same hardware so it's fully compatible with this project.
