Description

The is my second treatment of Steamboat Willie. It's a much smaller scale than my first treatment. In fact the pictures show the first treatment in the background for scale. At this size, it becomes too difficult to assemble Steamboat Willie from the parts like the larger version. So in this case, I've released him as a discrete model. In the 3mf file, it's set up for color, so you can print it with a multi-color printer, or you can print the STL and paint it after the fact.

The 3mf file is set up for the Creality K2 Plus, but it should work on other printers. I know I've pulled in Bambu multicolor prints with 3mf's and they've run fine on my K2.

The last issue to consider is supports. Again, because of the scale, it can be pretty difficult to get the supports off cleanly. One thing I've heard, but I've not tested, is that you can use PETG for support material. It doesn't stick well to PLA, making it potentially a great option for supports. If you try it, please let me know. (I didn't test it because the full-color version took 17 hours to print - not because of the size, but because of all the color changes).

Please post makes of your model!
