Description

Biomes - A fun geography game of global proportions!  Learn about the geographic regions of the earth while completing feature cards with 5 different biome blocks to create the most ecologically diverse planet system - and score the most point along the way!

Each game consists of 1 planet board per player, a supply of colorful biome blocks, biopods, and 45 geographic feature cards.

Players start with 3 geographic feature cards to try to complete.  There are also 5 starting feature cards that all players can complete to be the first to complete.  On your turn select a biopod of 4 biome block and add them to your board.  Only certain block can be used in each of the 3 regions: polar, temperate and tropical which adds to the challenge of completing cards.  The game ends when one person completes their planet board. Players earn 10 points per completed region as well as the points shown on each completed feature card.

Included in the PDF is the rules and cards that can be printed on 8.5x11 paper.  I put my set of cards into sleeves I bought from my local game store, but they can also just be printed on card stock.  Biome blocks should be put into a bag or container, so selecting blocks each round is randomized.

We have playtested this game as a family and this game it's rules continues to evolve.  Everyone who downloads this game is a playtester that can help shape and improve this game.  We'd love your feedback and suggestions for rule changes and any other improvements to make this game a great addition to classrooms and the 3D community.
