This is epic! I have made it and am taking it away on holiday with me.. My kids are gonna love it!! We share a garden with neighbours and I have also printed it for them and told them to practice! Because this will become our game of choice for who cuts the grass! :-) Cannot wait for the 90 degree connectors as you could easily turn this into a four player game!! and maybe even have a way of having a black hole in the middle!!! (mini trap and there are corners where the person has to hit to free their space ship pucks!! I think this has some serious appeal and would love to discuss turning it into and actual game to sell!! reach out to me if it's something you want to do?

I added a new bonus pack with 4-way connectors, curves and a few other goodies. you could use either the new connectors or the curves to create a 4 person game. I haven’t tried it yet but will soon. I’m gonna let the game breathe here on Makerworld and see how it evolves the consider what to do with it beyond that.

I’ve been trying to think of a black hole device/trap. still trying to think of how it would work and look.

Magnets. Magnets are the key to tabletop gravity.

Absolutely love this model. Great work. There is so much potential to add stuff and create new versions. I printed it at 50% scale and altered some walls to fit it on an old whiteboard I had laying around. I also added magnets to all connecting pieces and to the planets and have some ideas in mind to have "light" planets without magnets along with the "heavy" magnetized ones. I could also imagine to introduce pieces with a magnet on the top, so that those units get "destroyed" when getting flipped over since they now stick to the playing field. Lots of ideas, great times ahead :)

Wow that looks great! Love the multicolor pieces and choice of colors! Let me know how the flick sticks go. They have helped save me from sore fingertips. Great ideas on the magnets. Working on some ideas with LED lights and some crater traps as well as some target practice componets. Keep the ideas coming! I'll do my best to keep up with them and see how this game evolves!

I feel some good stuff coming from your design :) I am thinking a lot about some mechanics to earn power-ups or bonuses in the game and highten the complexity a bit. One idea I just tested was destroyable crates, also using magnets. So you hit them and a power up falls out (writing it down now I figure that it would be just enough to have an icon printed inside the crate). This could give you a protection shield for example, so a physical short barrier (with magnets or not) to protect the mothership. Other ideas could be additional ships, bigger ships, additional planets etc. I printed the crate to fit 4 2x1 magnets on either side but found out that even 2 are to much to be destroyable. 1 is perfect. The next step then would be to not make it hollow but print a power-up logo inside. This makes it possible to put the 1 magnet in the middle. Also a small recess to make it fit better. This is for the 50% scale version, so for the full scale version 1 magnet 2x1mm would be too weak I think. The flick stick is nice, I printed it at 65% scale to accomodate to the 50% in total but it doesn't last long, I will try to make it a bit thicker and experiment a little with it. Also printing it in PETG might help with durability. Another idea is to have destroyable ships that either have magnets on the top and transform to "space debris" when flipped or that just break apart when flicked too hard (will be tricky to dial in the magnet forces for that one though). This would encourage the player not to hit as hard as possible because one might loose the ship.

2nd Version of the exploding "Power-Up Crate". Works like a charm. If you hit the correct spot it opens without any pieces flying over the board. Next step would be to design the corresponding shield. Edit: Just figured that I used the Ship-Icon instead of the Mothership-Icon. Well, it's getting late 😂

Working with a friend who does high end video and hope to get something in the near future. I might just do some quick phone videos in the meantime when I have some spare time. Otherswise the instructions and diagram are in the PDF for now.

Truly brilliant, my 4-year-old son is enthusiastic about it, I took the liberty of creating a small device to launch the discs

Still printing, but I think this is the best board game ever posted on "Maker World"! It's a shame that I can't understand the explanation of the game play because I'm not good at English. I look forward to the play video coming up someday.

We started shooting video of the gameplay last night. Once we have it edited I will make it available. We have made a few changes to the rules as well.

Just finished printing this and played a few rounds with my family. Wicked game. I'm just trying to figure out how to configure it into a 3 or 4 player game. If anyone has made a setup send a pic.

I have a setup diagram made up using curves and short walls from the bonus pack profile. When I’m back in front of the computer later I’ll upload what I came up with. depends on your table size too.

I haven't printed all the pieces and tried it yet, but here is what I was thinking. It uses 4 curves and short walls from the bonus pack.

Cool to see this still getting printed. It was my first big game project. I do have a version 2 I have been working on, but haven't finalized anything yet. If you are interested in trying it out, I can send you the files and the rule changes. Just a little update to the mothership, the addition of fighter ships and I changed the shape of the discs a little bit to try to make them easier on the fingers to flick. Let me know.
