Description

This model is a Laptop and iPad / Tablet, Desk Top Stand.

It allows the Laptop to be mounted Vertically when using an external keyboard. Also holds the closed laptop vertically when not in use to create desk space.

Can also be used to hold an iPad or Tablet. Various versions available.

The hollow versions can be filled with something to increase the weight (I used Rice which is cheap and reasonably heavy) also TPU soft pads to cushion the laptop.

There is also a joining piece that can join the hollow body if you cut it in Bambu Studio to print on an A1 Mini.

If you don’t want to add the TPU pads then there is a Plain Body version.

If you don’t want to add weight there is a Solid body option that prints normally with infill density of your choice.

Further there is a half size version for use with iPhones etc.

Lastly two other models: One is a wrench to tighten the end cap after filling with weight and Two: A cutting fixture to help you cut the TPU filament for the Pads.

Note: Supports are NOT necessary. Bambu Studio may warn you that they are, but it will print OK without supports.

If you wonder why I have designed a hollow body: To support a Lap Top almost vertically and with the screen fully open, the weight of this 3D print would not be enough, even if printed with 100% infill. And it would cost too much in filament. I used Rice as the Ballast because it is fairly heavy for its volume and only cost 52 pence for a Kilo. (Aldi UK). The difference in weights are as follows: Hollow Model as printed Approximately 174g. With rice added 536g. If you have any other suggestions for the ballast that is cheap and heavier, please let me know.
