Description

A soprano trombone based on my actual soprano trombone! Now albiet it doesnt sound the exact same but it does sound very simalar! I think this it the closest you can get to a real trombone with a standard FDM 3d printer. Heres how I made it

I took my soprano trombone, and took it apart. I then 3d scanned every peice with my phone, and then imported it into my 3d editing software to clean up the scan. after that, I imported it into bambu studio, edited some parts for playability/assembly. and viola! a soprano trombone

also on another note does seprano trombone use the same fingerings as a tenor trombone? I've never played a seprano one before and want to give this one a try

Without touching any of the settings, the a1 mini new profile has a serious floating issue on plate 1.

I really like and appreciate what you're trying to do here. I have been printing the parts in Translucent PETG on a P1S, and am having mixed results. I have printed 3 plates so far, and have 3 failed pieces... (no, it's not the printer). - One part shifted a little and snapped (one with tree attached). - The part with the handle from plate 1 did not print properly - the floating end of it turned into spaghetti (it was missing a support - just like in your first A1 print profile) - One of the long tubes had the tips of the tree supports poking inside of the tube... this was obviously not intentional. I cracked the thin wall of the tube trying to remove those support tips out of the tube. I am going to keep printing/trying, but thought you should know the difficulties I am going through :)

Thanks for sharing!! I had the best results when using petg for everything but the inner slide. Feel free to post your finished version of the parts!

Will do. One way to fix the 2 really long tubes is to check the "On build plate only" for the Tree support settings. This gets rid of the support tips extending into the tubes.

hello o/ I'm curently printing it and I wanted to ask you, did you print the 4 parts of the inner slide with PLA? I'm using PETG for plates 4 and 5 at the moment

I’m giving up on printing this no matter what I edit the end tuning slide curve fails and I only have base texture plate it’s probably just user error but I’ve had better results with other trombone models.

what printer are you using? did you wash your plate? did it fail at the start or halfway through

I use a a1 and the print fails halfway through every time I print it I washed my plate and even used glue but none of it worked

most of the peices are not touching the print bed on the provided print profile. Would you be able to share your print setup?

Attach some photos if you can but I bumped my temps up to 240c nozzle and 85 c bed for the textured pei plate and bambu lab pla, on top of using like 2 glue sticks worth of glue on the bed to prevent anything from falling over

Soprano Trombone New Do Not Print Old (A1-X1
Number one very hard to put together with no instructions and the guy seems to know about it, but keeps telling people he will get instructions. I figured it out put it together when you slide it. It does not change the tone at all, but I would say it’s cool for a display piece to hang on the wall or something , but my opinion is not worth all the time and filament I guess I should’ve read all the comments first
