Description

Apparently this is my most challenging design to print to date (check out the comments). If this current print profile with support overkill doesn't work for you, you really need to reevaluate your entire setup. If you're going to be upset about potentially wasting 100g of filament, please don't attempt to print this.

Unleash your musical spirit with this one-of-a-kind soprano recorder, adorned with intricate dragon scale detailing along its entire length. Crafted with precision, this instrument blends mythical flair with rich, clear tones, offering both visual enchantment and exceptional playability. Perfect for musicians and collectors alike, this dragon-inspired recorder is a striking fusion of art and sound—ready to breathe fire into every melody.

Depending on your filament of choice, you may need to glue the sections together to make a tight seal. Filament I used is silver PLA Silk+ from Jayo.

Please tag me on social media when you post pictures of your finished print. I'm excited to see how you've brought my design to life! I’ve tried it twice it failed at the same point about 90% complete then turns to spaghetti my printer runs perfect and I can print anything else plate is clean no issues other then this file so warning to anyone who wants to print it ur probably gonna be wasting filiment to make a useless spaghetti print … will update my review if the model gets fixed and becomes a usable print

while I feel for you that your printer wasted your material but it’s 100% an end user issue. I was able to print it perfectly every time using the print profile I provided, but somehow because you couldn’t get your printer to finish the job and now I need to fix my model or the print profile? if you still think everything is perfect on your end and your failed prints are due to my designs, please don’t attempt to print any other of my designs ever again to save yourself some filaments 🙂

I have printed 7 more things since my last attempt on your model without issues so definitely not user or printer or filiment issue wonder what is left oh ya model issue … I get I could of chose a lot better word choices in my first comment and ya I was angry when writing it but your reply is just condescending take some pride in your work and check your model for flaws because there is definitely a issue somehow 🤷‍♀️ maybe it got altered or corrupted when u uploaded it but it’s not working properly if I start seeing other people being able to actually print it I’ll try again but 2 attempts fail at same time but no other print issues with any other model leads common sense to say it’s a model issue

I have seen people complaining, so I tried it out. Removed the vertical supports (eww) and went back to normal speed. I really wanted to complain afterwards. /s But it still worked without an issue. Looks amazing and the sound isn't even too bad. Bambu Bronze PLA on X1C with SuperTack. Well maintained machine with dry filament, no manual calibration.

This feels like a trap. Well, let's see how it goes, haha. But I disabled the profile for bed slingers, as I didn't try it on an A1.

The app was being goofy and wouldn’t let me rate. But 5 stars from me. used the supplied profile on my p1s I didn’t even turn my aux fan off, no glue,no issues more than sufficient brim. great file Ty!

ahh. The reason it wouldn’t let me rate it I think is because you made a new profile while I was printing the old one. @NUKDDD

yeah...I had to take it off because lots of people with their "perfect" printing condition couldn't get a successful print. Thanks for sharing your pictures, maybe you could repost my print profile for these folks since they don't trust my files hahaha

Lol. It printed perfectly as shown in the pics. I was able to hold one of the sections and let the weight of the bed dangle from the brims. No glue. I think people need to clean their beds better. I could look into making a profile if you’re serious. I used the handy app I’ll have to see if I can access the original file on studio when I get back home.

I didn't get a chance to try your original profile but this printed great even if it was slow. also it sounds just like any store bought recorder but it is way cooler!

I'm submitting this comment hoping that someone can give me advice on how to get this model to print properly. My son really wanted this recorder, so I tried to print it five times. It failed every time and turned into spaghetti somewhere between 80% and 90% complete. I tried all of the settings that I could think of, even using the fully-supported version and slowing the maximum print speed to 100mm/s and the maximum acceleration down to 100mm/s2. Nothing worked. Here are a couple of photos of the failed prints. I noticed in the last print that there's a melted depression in the top of one of the pieces. The print head seems to be several layers too low at that point and melting into the top of the piece, eventually ripping it off the print plate. I've never seen anything like that before, so I have no idea what's causing it. Using A1 printer; prints fine on everything else, even other tall prints like this.

the part with the blob at the end is likely the first part that detached from the build plate, and it knocked the others down as it’s being dragged around by the nozzle. I think your build plate needs a thorough cleaning. if you’ve done that already then maybe try a different plate, I have a plate that just doesn’t work as well as others and it’s not even that old.

Even a bed pusher can print the flute well I slightly enlarged the first layer for safety but I'm not sure if it was even necessary The supports were easy to remove The flute looks fantastic in colored Silk PLA Thank you

looks like an adhesion issue, the brim are still attached to the parts but completely detached from your build plate but still standing, definitely a dirty plate.
