RB-L : 
A new slingshot design, completely 3D-printed, crafted from Bambu Lab PETG  on a Bambu Lab A1 FDM 3D printer. This side grip-style frame fits better on your hand. It incorporates a paracord wrist rope for enhanced safety. The forks accommodate OTT bands, and the clamp secures with M5x25 bolts and M5 nuts. Furthermore, a sight has been added on the clamp for better aiming. It can be used with or without a sight (includes both files for the clamps). With the sight you will achieve better precision shots. For improved grip and comfort, consider wraping the handle with grip tape (optional).

 

This slingshot was printed with four perimeters and 50% infill.

The clamps, printed with 100% infill, but also demonstrate sufficient robustness at 50% infill.

Extrusion nozzle: 0.4mm

Layer height: 0.2mm

Filament: Bambu Lab PETG HF

 

To complete the fiber sight, I cut 7/8mm pieces of Translucent TPU and press them on the holes.

The nuts and bolts are those in the links below, although any wide-head M5 screw will work fine.

Due to the functional nature of this object and the stresses involved during use, print quality, material selection, and correct assembly are critical factors. Improper printing settings, weak materials, or poor layer adhesion may result in structural failure and potential injury.

For best results and safety, the use of high-quality, reinforced filaments for the frame (such as PETG-CF or equivalent) is strongly recommended. Lower-grade materials may significantly reduce strength and durability.

Always inspect all parts before use. If any cracks, deformation, or weaknesses are detected, do not use the model.
