huge thanks for every boost!

About the model:

After my stag and doe models I got many requests to make a horse. Here it is. A horse.

Print info:

As usual, it needs quite some custom settings to print succesfully and in good quality so I highly recommend you to use my published profile. It has custom supports, adaptive layers and my preferred speed modifications for overhangs.

You can scale it to your liking but the adaptive layer settings will be lost. I used 0.8 quality/speed ratio and smoothing 3 times with a radius of 10.

(Note: An easier way to print it is to lay it on its back. This way basically any profile will do fine but there will be unsightly marks on the back.)

I still gave 5 stars because it is a nice job but unfortunately my horse was destroyed trying to remove the supports 😢. The two front legs and the tail broke. I am really sorry about that. I should point out that I selected the standard speed on A1 Mini. Maybe I should have selected the slower mode

The project is beautiful, but all prints here showed failures in the same spot and fragility in the legs

Hmm any advice, I use Bambulab PLA Silk in a X1C with profile.

Silk PLA doesn't like small layers. Try reseting the adaptive layer settings and print with a simple, consistent layer height of 0.16mm.
