This desk light is designed from the Nether Portal in Minecraft. This light has a light up portal powered through a usb light strip. Its a nice piece to put on desk or dressers, not too big but just right!
Before you print
I recommend using a smooth plate for everything. It'll make it look nicer, if you dont have it then thats fine. Just know that the top of the print will have a texture to it.
Also, for the outer shell part of the print. It uses slower speeds for the overhangs. So make sure your printer is tuned right and well kept, otherwise you might have issues with those over hangs.
You might be able to use bambus makersupply light strip but I don't know. If it does work, let me know!
Assembly
Take your light strip and feed it through the back of the bottom inner piece. Go all the way through until it gets to where the wire starts. Once thats done, start feeding the light strip through the loops around the portal piece all the way around. Then set it in place on the bottom while sliding the top piece in. I recommend glue for this part to help hold it together and being loose. Then finally slide the outer shell to seal the deal! Just make sure you line up the notch on the outer shell with where the wire comes out. Go ahead and glue parts you see fit of course. Heres a gif of assembly
