3/8 Tripod Mount Adapter Plate for Meade ETX 60

This adapter plate is designed to allow you to mount your Meade ETX-60 telescope onto the most common style of standard tripod.

The model works well but I stopped developing it because the interface between the plate and the tripod head is simply too soft and the plastic gets scratched up very easily. Because of this I experimented with adding rubber feet between the tripod head and the plate (visible one one of the prototypes in the pictures. but this held up even worse then the design uploaded here that simply interfaces PETG directly with the metal of the tripod. I am still using the design on my telescope but will need to add more metal components if I want the design to go any further. 

There is a standard 3/8 nut inserted at the pause in the print and two ¼" 20 x ¾" bolts that hold the plate onto the bottom of the tripod.

There are also recessed spots were you can optionally add on 3M stick on rubber feet if you plan on using the telescope without the tripod often.
