Description

Excited to present the Numbered Dice Puck V2 - Now even better thanks to your feedback! šŸ’–

You spoke, and I listened! Based on all the amazing support and suggestions from the community on the first version, I've made some key improvements to the Numbered Dice Puck to make it even more user-friendly and polished.

Here's what's new and improved in V2:

  • šŸ“ Customizable Magnet Holes - No more magnet size limitations! The magnet holes are now designed using a negative modifier in Bambu Studio. This means you can easily adjust the size of the magnet hole directly in the slicer to perfectly fit any diameter magnet you prefer! Just remember to add that 0.2mm diameter clearance for a smooth fit (so 7.2mm for 7mm magnet).
  • 🧲 Hidden Magnet Magic - Magnets are now seamlessly integrated! Forget glue! V2 includes a built-in pause in the print. The slicer will pause at the perfect layer height so you can simply drop your magnets into place before resuming the print. This creates a super clean, glue-free finish with hidden magnets! If you've adjusted the magnet hole size, just make sure to keep the modifier 0.4mm (or 2x your layer height) below the top surface and adjust the pause layer accordingly in your slicer. Want to show off your magnets instead of hiding them? Simply move the modifier higher in the slicer until it's visible on the surface!
  • šŸŽ² Easier Closure, Multiple Alignments! The top part now features slightly wider holes for the dice. Yes, it might be a tiny bit more noisy if you shake it around (sorry noise-sensitive players! šŸ˜‰), but the trade-off is much easier closure! Plus, the new magnet placement means the top now snaps closed in not just one, but THREE positions! No more perfect alignment with bottom part numbers needed!
  • šŸ“ Streamlined Sizing - Just Two Plates for Maximum Flexibility! Instead of six separate size plates, V2 now uses just two printing plates! If your dice are in-between sizes, no problem! You can now easily scale the model in your slicer until the d6 box perfectly fits your specific dice set. This makes it adaptable to even more dice sizes!
  • ✨ Enhanced Finish - Ironing Perfection! I've tweaked the ironing settings for the top part to provide an even cleaner and smoother top surface finish. Enjoy that extra level of polish!

I'm printing this as we speak. I needed to add the pause myself, but maybe it's because I modified the size of the holes for the magnets? (Edit: Looks like I only had to add the pause for plate 1, it was already there for the top on plate 2.) If you're gathering feedback for a potential V3... how about a variety where the dice holes are slightly larger then you have a third plate that has TPU inserts that can be press fit or glued into the puck? I've got some crystal glass dice that I'm super paranoid about rattling around, a TPU liner might make for an interesting padding solution!

Yeah, I've added instructions into Description that for different size you need to adjust height and add different pause. Same for different layer height and so one. But position should fine. Also you can even put them higher to get rid of pause and just glue them. As of TPU insert it can be interesting idea. Maybe even extend it to have default size for everything and then inserts for different dice. That way you can modify it even further in case you want it to store only d6, d20 etc.

Is there a way I could get rid of the D&D logo, if I'm trying to sell these I lowki don't want to get sued. Please help? :) (Edit: Could you find a way to connect the lid and base?)
