Storage Station for Brother P-touch P700 / P750
including Tape Organizer & Label Catch Bin

Labels have this wild habit of developing a life of their own after printing... 😅

To prevent the desk from becoming a label wasteland, I designed a compact docking station for the Brother P-touch P700/P750: the printer sits neatly in the base, the most important TZe tapes are readily available next to it – and a removable container at the front catches the finished labels directly at the output.

Features

  • Dock/Base suitable for Brother P-touch P700 / P750
  • Integrated Tape Organizer:
    • tapes for approx. 9–12 mm
    • tapes for 24 mm
    • plus a narrow compartment for e.g. "reorder" labels / leftover strips
  • Label Catch Bin (removable) – quickly emptied, no mess
  • New: taller catch bin (for more output at once)
  • New: 2 print profiles  "For Left/Right Setup (USB cable, space next to printer, wall side...""

Versions / Print Profiles

  • Base (right) – organizer on one side, catch bin at the front
  • Base (left) – same function, just mirrored (for your setup)
  • Catch bin "tall" – more volume, fits into the base (standard for both profiles)

Upgrade for everyday use: Many wanted more "label buffer" – which is why the tall catch bin is now standard. Additionally, the base also comes in a left version, so it fits your desk layout (cable/space/wall side/tape change – you know the drill 😁).

Changelog/Updates

  • 14.02.2025: Profiles adjusted and revised
  • 14.02.2025: Replaced previous small container with taller one in profiles
  • 14.02.2025: Added left base (printer possible on either right or left)
  • 07.12.2025: Taller catch bin added

„Have fun printing and labeling!“
Already printed? A Make (or short comment) is super helpful: Motivation for me – and a real practical check for others. ✅

Great print and works perfect with 750. only improvement would be a deflector on catch bucket. Most of my labels miss it.

First of all, thank you very much for your positive review and your photos... 🙏 I didn't know that the 750 also fits perfectly – thank you for pointing that out. Apparently, the 750 does something slightly different than the 700 when it comes to output – with mine, the labels fall down in slow motion after being cut. I'm currently thinking about how I could optimize the container for you. Would it be sufficient to raise the walls up to the output chute? What do you think?

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking maybe just add a wall a bit higher in the front above the handle on the container. Is that possible? It could have holes to use less filiment. Mine shoots the labels out most of the time, lol. I love the rest of the model, everything fits perfect. I can try making a temp deflection wall to see how high it would need to be if that helps.

Thank you for your constructive feedback... I will think about a solution for a new, replaceable container over the next few days when I have a little more time. The holes could be a problem, as the cut labels could get caught in them and block the ones behind them. If you like, you can send me the height of the deflector plate via PM.

I mirrored it so the printer is on the left. helps with changing the tapes. Great print. I could do without the fixed tape dividers, it would work just as well without them and not lock you into certain sizes.

Wow - very cool.... Sometimes you just can't see the forest for the trees 😂 - just mirror the model along the X-axis in the slicer and the tape strips will be on the right side 👍. I will definitely take your tip to heart. Thank you very much for your great make (the orange looks great with the black P-Touch), your constructive feedback, and above all for your 5-star rating 🙏🖖

Hello, I discovered the model by chance. How about a lid for the bands? I don't change them very regularly, for example, so one or two bands could catch some dust. xD

First of all, thank you for the hint... lids for the bands? I hadn't thought about that before, but now that you mention it... definitely an option for an expansion or an update... I've added the idea to my to-do list and will try something out... –👍😁

Hello, it's me again. 😁 I've thought of something else: I think it would be great if the compartments in the tape storage could be freely arranged. Instead of fixed distances, you could make slots for the dividers, and then slide the dividers into these at the desired intervals. This way, you can always freely choose how many 24mm or 12mm compartments you want. I don't know if there are other tape widths, if there are, then of course slots for those too. Hopefully, I've expressed myself halfway clearly. 👀😁 For now, I'm just printing the catch basin.

Hello, would it be possible to create this for the 710BT as well? I really like the model but I have the 710BT

Thanks for the flowers 😁 I just looked at the 710BT - really great device, but all round 😉 - without having the device, this will be very difficult - I could imagine it. All the radii at the front and on the side have to fit really well so that it stays nicely stable in the tray and the base could be extended by a few compartments, as it is a bit smaller. But as I said - without being able to take the measurements directly from the device, this will be a difficult undertaking...
