Description
This is the Nine Hole Peg Test (NHPT)
This test is often used in neurological rehab (MS, Parkinson, Stroke) to assess manual dexterity.
The goal of the test ist to put in all 9 pegs and then remove them - as fast as possible. Use 1 hand only to put in and remove the pegs and afterwards repeat it with your other hand to get side by side comparison. You can then compare your time (in sec) to reference values or compare your time to previous tests.
The size ist standart: https://www.physio-pedia.com/Nine-Hole_Peg_Test
- Board with 9 holes (10 mm diameter, 15 mm depth), placed apart by 32 mm
- A container for the pegs: a shallow round dish at the end of the board (100mm diameter)
- 9 pegs (7 mm diameter, 32 mm length)
Use 4 5x2mm Magnets for the closing mechanism and a pice of filament for the hinge mechanism
It might be necessary to slightly widen the holes of the hinges with a pointed object before inserting the filament
I engraved the letters NHPT on the front side so that when opening, you know which side is the bottom, preventing the pegs from falling out.
The reason I made this test for 3D printing because I wanted to buy it online, and saw, that it costs at least 80€ (up to 150) - depending on the seller.
