Kitchen Caddy:

I've just launched my newest project the Kitchen Caddy. The Kitchen Caddy expands on this Soap Holder by introducing a range of new sizes and tweaks to the design. If you are interested in that, please check it out below:

https://makerworld.com/en/models/1233077-ultimate-kitchen-and-sink-caddy-customisable#profileId-1252256

Please check the size of the soap you use prior to printing and print the correct size! Where I live, the original size which I have now labelled “Small” is perfect, but some users have complained about it being too small. That is why I have also created a larger size “XL”.

This simple soap tray prints support free. It follows a similar design style to my contemporary coasters with the squiggly spiral pattern.

I've printed Two. 1 for my bathroom sink (with the drip tray) and 1 for the shower.

yes! 🙌🏼 your beige color looked really nice and I didn’t have it, but it inspired me to use my gold! I used the Bambu Labs PLA metal irridium gold filament!

Used it for soap and sponge, was really great, and did it in white marble color which is even cooler.

SMALL - Soap Holder without a Drip Tray
Printed well on my A1 mini once I slowed the print speed and printed the pieces separate. Have 3 in use.

Thank you! Do you mind if I ask what the issue was specifically if you didn't print them separately and didn't slow them down? I might put up an A1 mini specific profile to fix those issues. Please consider giving me a boost and a follow and checking out some of my other models also

This was the first time I printed. The base was fine, but this is how the upper portion printed. Slowing it down let me print the top portion fine. When I printed the next two I just printed them separately because I didn’t have the time to babysit it for the first few layers. I spent a lot of time making sure my printer was not the issue, but only one other item had a similar issue and it was printed days later. I also had to slow that print down to successfully print that item. I am still not sure there is not an issue with my printer. (New to this) The filament is not wet, I wash my plate often, and the nozzle is not plugged. Those were the 3 major things that I found that seemed to cause similar issues according to my research.

Hi. Thanks for the feedback. To me this definitely sounds like a bed adhesion issue rather than a filament issue. As you said that you regularly clean your bed, my guess would be one of the following. Drafts: Is the printer located in a temperature controlled environment or is there a regular draft blowing from one direction. If so does this coincide with where your failures are occurring? Printing with a raft or an outer protection wall would help with this issue if the drafts cant be avoided. Bed Placement: I personally hate the Bambu design for plate guidance. Those little guides at the back are very easy to accidentally place your plate on. I've done this so many times resulting in the back left or back right being slightly lifted. This obviously means that the bed isn't level and also isn't in contact with the heater, resulting in poor adhesion. Bed levelling: If your automatic bed levelling isn't run, or isn't capable for accommodating for the variance in your Part Placement: Obviously when you print both parts it pushes them to the outer parts of your plate. Your bed will naturally have a more consistent temperature in the center, especially with the A1, A1 Mini and PIP as they are very susceptible to draft winds impacting bed temperatures. In general if this is something you regularly encounter, I'd suggest printing with rafts and upping the bed temperature by +5degrees, then as you have already done, slowing down the first few layers to ensure good adhession. Thanks for the feedback and I hope some of the above tips can help you! I might set a A1mini profile with those factors implemented to ensure a greater success rate on the A1 mini.

Nice design, would love to see also variants with extended tray drain. I would recommend scaling it a bit larger since the soap just fits in. Thanks for sharing!

I've Uploaded an XL Version (30% bigger) which is big enough for the largest soap I have found and most of the "Artisanal" square blocks I have also seen. The regular version is still suitable for 90% of the the soaps from supermarkets I have seen
