Description

Thanks to this simple adapter you can finally use the 5th tube of the external coil without having to always remove and reinsert the PTFE tube.

TO ENSURE PERFECT SLIDE OF THE THREAD I RECOMMEND ONLY USING BAMBULAB PTFE, WHICH IS WIDER THAN THE CLASSIC PTFE ON THE MARKET

Installation Notes:

  1. The tubes will force to be inserted into the holes, use pliers (without damaging the PTFE tube) to insert them into the holes.
  2. The tube holder for the AMS wires will be tightened slightly (this is to ensure a firm hold of the Y-adapter and to avoid leaks during printing.
  3. Be sure to fully insert the PTFE tubing to ensure proper thread flow.
  4. Make sure you insert the tubes well into the bowden support to avoid restrictions, once inserted the tubes will be free to slide with minimal friction.

For any doubts or changes that could improve the project, contact me and we will find the best solution! :)

Enjoy printing!

A single trick to use is to pull the thread back a little from the AMS coil which is connected to the Y and the external coil when you are not using it, this is to avoid unpleasant jamming.
